This is a memory from my first succesful fishing trip. A friend brought us out, just off penguin Island in Perth, Australia.
Up until that point any of my previous fishing trips would result in my catching nothing, but somehow something (rocks, seaweed, anything)caught my fishing line EVERY TIME and I would end up losing it. So it was to my complete amazement that I was able to catch anything this time and even more astonishinly I caught the most fish that day.
When we brought back our catch I became totally transfixed with the translucent, luminous colours. They were so beautiful. This was swiftly followed by a pang of guilt as I saw the vibrancy of their colours fade as they slipped away from life.
